If you have a missing tooth and a poor oral health, then it’s time to consider replacing your tooth. It’s best to replace your missing tooth as soon as possible so you can avoid any further consequences. Fortunately, our dentist, Dr. Clifford Morton, has many tooth-replacement options, and one of those options is a dental bridge. To tell you more about this treatment, he is happy to tell you the benefits and treatment details involved.

Benefits
A dental bridge can do many things for you and your smile, like replace your missing teeth, help you properly chew and speak, give you the force you need in your bite, maintain the shape of your face, and prevent your natural teeth from drifting out of place.

Treatment
Your treatment will start with your dentist numbing your mouth to ensure your comfort during your appointment. Then, he will trim the outer layer of the anchoring teeth so the dental crowns that hold the bridge in place can fit. Next, he will take measurements of the smile and will send them to a dental lab. There, technicians will custom make your new bridge. While you wait, you will be given two temporary crowns so you can still use the anchoring teeth. You will come back to our office when the bridge is ready to have it securely placed in your mouth.
